After delays which have still remained undetailed, it looks like the much-anticipated Honda CBR300R is finally en route to the dealers’ showrooms. The Australian branch of the Japanese manufacturer announced that the all-new CBR300R will be in Oz showrooms in July, while at the same time providing the price tags for both versions.

Since the Honda CBR300R is offered without ABS in its base version, it will be offered with an AUD 5,699 ($5,335/€3,910). If you’re in for more safety and stability during braking on difficult surfaces, the ABS version can be yours for AUD5,999 ($5,625/€4,115). The CBR300R is proudly showing off solid CBR1000RR design cues, and this aggressive styling will surely be one of the major selling points for young riders.

Aimed at slowly replacing the phased out quarter-liter CBR250R and offer a more consistent opposition to the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the new CBR300R can produce 27Nm (19.8 lb-ft) of torque and 30.4 horsepower with its liquid-cooled 286cc 4-stroke engine. With a 6 –speed transmission and a massive 13-liter (3.4 US gal) tank, the CBR300R’s range can reach a 390 km (242 miles) range, making an excellent choice for longer trips, as well.

The Honda CBR300R comes with cast 17” wheels, 37mm telescopic forks and a Pro-Link monoshock swingarm, while a 296mm hydraulic rotor in the front and a classic 220mm one in the rear ensure the stopping power. The non-ABS CBR300R are available in Black or Red, while the ABS versions can also be ordered in the iconic HRC Tri Color livery.
